Apposition is a Hard Rock band consisting of four young budding musicians who strive to produce heavy music which packs a punch and deliver it in the most memorable way possible.
Formed in the year 2010, Apposition (known then as Evergone) moved on from doing covers of bands such as Metallica, Slipknot, System of a Down and Stone Sour to composing their own music. Two years were spent writing and refining their musical material and playing at small events and finally they were ready to gig at real venues to real audiences for the first time in 2012.
Combining the simplistic but effective structure and chunky sound of old school metal with the catchy hooks and tight harmonies of modern metal, Evergone has a current and tastefully heavy sound. Not afraid to add variation to their sound, some of their music ventures subtly into the realm of punk.
Their lyrics range from dark themes such as loss, mental imprisonment and strained relationships to brighter themes such as salvation, unity and brotherhood. They take a rather different approach preferring clean vocals over growled or screamed vocals favouring a more melodic and emotional sound.
They have received advice and guidance from experienced musicians such as Richard Sumner of Deprevate who very recently have released their own EP.
Although young, the members of Evergone are determined to carry themselves in a most professional manner both musically and socially.
Now, in 2015 they have changed their name, finally released a song written four years ago, and are releasing an EP as well as music video for their song Prisoner.
Apposition is:
Andrew Johnston - Vocals and Guitar
Daniel Roulston - Guitar
Jack Gough - Bass
Peter Vaughan-Williams - Drums
